About
I build software, and the teams that build it.
I'm Jacob Junker. I started as a developer and went on to become CTO and partner in a software company, where I grew the engineering organization from 2 to more than 30 people.
Along the way I architected a multiplatform XR platform for enterprise clients that became the company's core business. I led a team of 15+ engineers, was the main technical contact for enterprise clients, sat on the management team, and drove the company to ISO 27001 certification as security officer.
After that I worked as freelance software architect and tech lead on a real-time XR collaboration platform for a global pharmaceutical company.
Today I lead development in an established software company, where I'm modernizing a legacy platform and driving AI adoption across the engineering organization.
What I bring is both sides: I can sit with your engineers and read the code, and sit with your leadership and talk strategy, budgets and risk, and make the two line up.
